Days 2 & 3

So on day 2 I knew that I shouldn't run, but I wanted to keep doing the whole gym thing. I decided to get up at 5 and go do the express circuit. It is basically weight machines and step aerobics. I finished it wihout a problem and was super happy with myself. I really think that listening to the Christian music while I work out is helping. I tune eveything else out and when I need encouragement it is right there!

Tuesday night I went to a knitting group. Let me start by saying that I am not really positive that knitting is part of my plan to be All In for Jesus. It was a great oppotunity to get together with other women and we had a good time. I however have no comment about my knitting abilities. I understand that it is just tying knots in string but if the scarves are supposed to keep children in Romania warm maybe I should just go to Targt and buy some scarves.

Yesterday I am very sad to say that I slept in and did not run. I don't know what is wrong with me because I didn't run again this morning. Is it possible to be in a funk this early into a new routine? I just need to ask God to take over because I won't be doing this on my own.....

Day 1 Recap

CYesterday was such an awesome day! After work I met Tim and Christian at Barnes and Noble. They has already been there for awhile so we only stayed to a little bit, but when we left we went to Boston Market for dinner. Yummy! I am not really sure how the sweet potato casserole and mac and cheese fit in with losing weight but it was soooooo good!

After dinner Christian and Tim went into Toys R Us while I ran into Michaels. I needed yarn and knitting needles. More on that later.

I really wanted to stop by church for this missions nigt they were having so we took Christian to Chuck E Cheese to burn off some energy. He was so excited! When I pulled up he said, "Mama, it's so big!" Now we were just there two weeks ago and I am pretty sure that they didn't add to their space, but to him it was bigger than life itself! We walked in and Chucks was right by the door! Chris gave him a big hug and went to watch the robots. He loves to sit and watch the robots sing and dance. Eventually we convinced.him to go play. His favorite thing of the not was the pretend phone that called Chucks. He was all smiles while talking on the phone. I was even able to post a picture on facebook.

After Chuck E Cheese we headed over to church for dessert. Chris was excited to get a cookie. So excited in fact that he disappeared to go look for one when Jenny tried to introduce me to someone. I wasn't worried because I knew he couldn't get outside, but it did take a few.minutes to locate him. Jenny and I were looking all around the room and he just walks up to me and says, "Hi Mama,Where is the cookie?" Apparently I didn't get him one fast enough so he went to find one on his own. Too bad he went in the opposite direction of the dessert table or he would have been really easy to find! Nevertheless Christian got a gigantic cookie and I got to here the missionaries from Kenya speak so everyone left happy. He made it quite clear he was ready to go so we left and he passed out on the way home. Sorry Nana! (She was really looking forward to getting on Skype with him.)

What a full but wonderful day!

Day 1 of Extreme Make Over April Edition

So I realize that no matter how unhappy I am with my level of fitness or my body it is the body that God gave me. I SHOULD be taking better care of it!

I firmly believe that part of my cannonball is to increase my level of fitness. I want to be able to serve God in whatever way He intends, but in order to do that I need to be able to climb a set of stairs without getting winded.

Apart from that I playing with Christian and I want to be able to do more with him. Hopefully I will start to have more energy and sleep better too!

Anyways, I have restarted the couch to 5k program thanks to some wonderful ladies in my small group. I ran on Saturday with them, and then this morning is where God stepped in and took over. If you know me at all then you know that I am not a morning person. I am also not a runner. So the fact that I woke up at 5 am and went to the gym had nothing to do with me and EVERYTHING to do with Jesus. I am feeling good and glad I did it, but let's be honest.... who actually wants to get up an hour earlier?

Now to teach the youth of America!

My Cannonball

I have spent a lot of time thinking about what it means for me to go all in for Christ. Luckily I have had a lot of time to think about it! I know that there are a lot of things that I need to do in my life and an all over makeover shall be very interesting!

I thought if I started blogging again it may help me to be more accountable. Now that I can blog from my phone I hope to keep up with my blogging a little more. I miss sharing my thoughts, ideas, rants, and of course cute Christian stories!

There are many ways things that I am planning on doing, changing, sharing, etc. I can't wait to share it all. First and foremost, I feel like I should join a missions trip that is being organized by Mountain Christian. The trip is scheduled for June 17th to July 1st. The goal is to take 100 people to Kenya! I hope that I am one of those 100! In fact, I am going to go start working on the application..... right now!

Cannonball

If you aren't sure what I am talking about when I say Cannonball take a look at the Cannonball website.

I tried to cut and paste some things to my site, but it didn't work so just go to the site!
