I will post more later once school has calmed down and things get back to normal. Christian loved his Barney birthday party and is enjoying all of his presents!

Myrtle Beach June 13 - 16, 2008
We started our summer by traveling to Myrtle Beach, S.C. for the wedding of my cousin Kate. Bryan and Kate choose Myrtle Beach because it is half way between MD and FL (where his family lives.) The wedding was beautiful and fun even though it rained. Sadly I have no pictures of the wedding because I was too far away during the ceremony and too busy with Chris during the reception! I do have one very cute picture of Christian with his Nana and Pop at the reception!
The wedding was on Sunday afternoon so we were able to take Christian to the beach on Saturday. Aunt Barbara, Uncle Willard, and Aunt Wilma were staying at the resort where the wedding was taking place. The hotel had an awesome pool and beach access!

Farm Fair - Take 2
Christian went to the Harford County Farm Fair again on Saturday. This time he went with a very large crowd. The crowd included his Great Aunt Barbara, Great Uncle Willard, their niece Brooke, Brooke's friend, their nephew Ronnie, Aunt Chris, Uncle Matt, and Aunt Christine's friend Amanda along with her son Connor. WOW! Brooke and Ronnie are teenagers so they wanted to hang out by themselves, but the rest of us stuck together.
Mama was bad and left her memory card at home in the computer so the pictures are limited! Aunt Barbie saved me with an extra memory card and I was able to get a few cute pics! The rain chased away most of the crowd and Christian got sleepy around 6:00 but over all he had a great day!
He liked seeing the animals again, he rode his little tractor again, and this time he rode a pony! I was a little worried because I wasn't able to walk with him but he loved it! We watched dock dogs and the crowd laughed at me because the announcer pointed out that I got soaked! (I took Christian down close to the pool so he could see everything!
Here are a few pictures from our day!

A Nightly Routine
I discovered Fly Lady through my friend Jennifer's blog. I forget why or how I ended up following a link, but I did and I am glad I did. Long ago I was an organized person ... at least at work. Now I have a house, a husband, an almost one year old, and a class of sixty or so 5th graders. Needless to say everything is not organized or running smoothly. I wanted to return control of my life to my hands. Fly Lady has lists, supplies, and tons of suggestions on how to do this. I am going to do my best to follow her instructions! I am sure I will fall on my butt quite a few times, but maybe just maybe I can make it! As part of my nightly routine I plan to set aside ten minutes or so to blog. I don't think that many people will read it, but that isn't important. What is important is that I will have a priceless journal of Christian's childhood complete with pictures and any loving comments our friends and family leave! So wish me luck!
Chuck E Cheese
Gwenn (MIL) and I took Christian to Chuck E Cheese this evening. His gums were bothering him a lot and he decided not to eat his dinner. I feel so bad for the kid! He was very patient while we ate our dinner and then he got to play! I was very pleased with the affordability of Chuck E Cheese. The entire evening cost less than $20 AND we have tokens left over for next time! They had tubes and a small play area for toddlers. Christian was too little to get in the tubes but he loved the play area. He spent a lot of tokens on rides. He got to ride in a train with Barney, on a truck with Bob the Builder, in a car with Chuck E Cheese, and on a school bus with Chuck E Cheese! He also rode on the carousel and on a giant clock! He had a great time and loved every minute of it!
Farm Fair - Trip #1
Last night Tim, Shannon, and I took Christian to the Harford County Farm Fair. Christian and I are going back on Saturday and we cannot wait! After a scrumptious dinner cooked by myself we headed off to the fair. The farm fair allows you to park at different locations and ride school buses to the fair. I consider this part of the experience and Christian loved it! He even took some time to cuddle with mama on the way over.
We arrived just in time to see the pig races. There were actually five races. Three were baby pigs and two were wiener dogs! They raced around a small track and the crowd cheered for them. It was very cute and the kids loved routing for the pigs. After the pigs we stopped at a wild life exhibit. Christian got to pet a duck, snake, and bearded dragon (the lizard below)!
After the lizard we toured the tents gathering free things and looking at all kinds of neat things. Christian decided that living on a farm wouldn't be too bad if he had his own tractor.
To end the evening we watched the fireworks. They seemed to go on for forever! We are taking another trip to the fair on Saturday with Aunt Barbara, Aunt Chris, and quite a few other people. It should be an adventure! Tonight we are headed to Chuck E Cheese!
After the tents we headed up to see the animals. Christian desperately wanted to pet the animals but the were not too excited by his offer. The cows wouldn't get close enough to him and the horse ran away! The goat agreed to sniff him, but that was it! He gave it his best effort but ended up returning to his first love... the tractor!
